Got picked up today at 8 o'clock to go to the My Son area which is famous for Cham buildings (although many were destroyed by the Yanks!). About an hours drive so Long and I tested each other words from the previous day - I won - he didnt get 'A gaggle of geese' :-)
First part of the tour were the Cham dancers (where the future Mrs Matthew Blandford will come from) - OMG - Long had said it was the dance of the fairies but ... OMG!
To bring me back to earth then wandered through the Chamm buildings - the whole place is out in the Vietnamese jungle so whilst there are paths there now you can well understand how hard it must have been for either side in the war to get through it - its so dense!
After this, it was back to Hoi An for lunch (on my own again!) and then that was the end of my tour of central Vietnam. Long and the driver then drive off into the sunset (well not really it was only 2 in the afternoon but you get my drift!)
Pottered around a bit and then went and ordered a couple of shirts to be made at one of the local tailors - 2 shirts - £22 - bargain! Yes Martin I know thats 11 Villarge club pints but that is cheap!
