7:00 start!! This is stupid! I'm on holiday people!!
On the coach but lots more to pick up today but eventually we got going properly about 8:45 (yes 1:45 on a bus picking up other!) Our guide today ... well think Nancy Lam! OMG! However I did like her because I was born in the year of the rabbit - or as she put it the sexy rabbit :-)
First stop were the ming tombs - a quick tour round here because we would be late for our tour of ... the jade factory - another 'shopping stop' - and hour!!!! We went round the tombs in about 30 mins and didnt have time to read all the info but an hour in the jade factory!!!
Anyway after lunch (yes this took us to lunch) off to the Great Wall - quite simply - spectacular! Bit heavy going as theres a lot of steps and with the snow and ice from a couple of days ago a bit slippy but the views (I will put some up at some point).
last stop - the silk factory (are you getting a feeling of deja vu?) Now to be told the lifecycle of a moth - like being back in biology at school! And then we can purchase a silk duvet and duvet cover .... hmmmmm not exactly what I paid for! Very nice but 20 mins looking at duvets ... Rock and Roll!!!
Stayed in after getting back to the hotel (on account I fell asleep on the sofa!) had typical chinese food for meal though - steak baguette!
