First Night

Started with a phone call from my tour guide for the morning - could I be ready for 7:30 outside? Are you kidding - ITS MEANT TO BE A HOLIDAY - so I left my alarm clock the same as I do for work!

I ate in tonight - the hotel is a little way out of the city centre and I didnt fancy going in and then out again on my first night so I booked a table in the chinese restaurant.

WOW - the food was great. I ordered Peking duck but it only come in 1/2 or whole so I had to have 1/2 - well unlike at home the chef comes out and carves it (notice not shredded) and then the waitresses make the little pancake parcels for you using chopsticks. Wait, thats not all. As is was carved there was meat left on the bones, so they take it away, chop up the carcas, fry it with chilli and ginger - dish number 2!
